Full Metal Alchemist

14 06 2010

I finally caught up and finished the 108 chatpers of Full Metal Alchemist and couldn’t be more satisfied with the ending. However, I was still torn that I reached final page. One of the Greatest series I’ve ever read.  It truly was like watching these two kids grow over the years and now it feels as if I’m saying goodbye to a close friend. I encourage everyone who hasn’t read it to pick it up and read it, you will not regret it.

Moribito

28 05 2010

For those who havent seen this anime yet, give it a chance.  One of the few animes that doesnt rush through the story, and the fight scenes are very good.  Basicly its about a body guard protecting a kid, people want to kill the kid because if they dont some bad could happen to the empire.  It has great character development, even if you arent a fan of anime/manga you should still check it out HERE

Ridiculous! but for some reason I still kept reading..I invested this much time in it, I should finish it now.

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn

1 03 2010

Wow..its March? Who knew….

I finally got a chance to watch the new Gundam Series, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn that premiered February 20th and I was very impressed.  They actually took their time and did not rush the first episode.  Even better, each episode is 60 minutes.  For the first time this series seems like it has a decent soundtrack.  I cant really say much about it because I have only seen the first episode, but this has a lot of potential. Yes, this gundam really does have a horn……like a unicorn.  I haven’t felt this way about a Gundam series since Gundam Seed.

A little background information, this takes place in the same universe as the first Gundan Series, Zeta which was about 30 years ago.  And yes, they do reference back to those 3 series that took place in that universe (Zeta, Double Zeta, and Chars Counter Attack).  In Gundam time, this is 3 years after Chars Counter Attack.  Anyway, heres the plot in a nutshell; thers a box that holds the power to end or destroy the world???.   Theres a princess (Audrey Burne) of some place and a kid from a space colony (Banagher Links) and they want to stop a war from taking place. I never read the novel, so i dont know what happens.  But word on the J-streets is that the novel is amazing.

The Last Exile

25 01 2010

if you’re bored, which you probably are because you are looking on my blog reading this, then you should watch the Last Exile. a very good anime, about 2 teens who fly their vanship as sky couriers. i dont want to give to much away, but the story line is very good. There is NO love story in this, and the action rarely arises, BUT the story line is very good and you will get hooked after the first episode (hopefully). Matter of fact, here is a better summary done by anime network:

In a world that looks like the 19th century with anti-gravity devices, Claus and Lavie are pilot and co-pilot of a Vanship and act as couriers. They become involved with a mysterious mission after rescuing a little girl from a strange star-shaped killing machine. Not willing to let the girl die, they complete the mission by delivering her to the legendary mercenary ship Sylvana, only to become part of the crew as fighter pilots.
